Terms of Use
The rules for accessing the JetScribe website and application, including permitted use, prohibited activity, and automated access.
1. What these Terms of Use cover
These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the JetScribe website at jetscribe.ai, its subdomains, and the JetScribe application (together, the "Site"). They apply to everyone who visits the Site, whether or not you hold an account.
If you hold an account or a paid plan, our Terms and Conditions govern the service contract itself and take precedence on contractual questions. Personal data is covered by the Privacy Policy, browser storage by the Cookie Policy, and ownership by the Intellectual Property Rights and Copyright Statement pages.
By accessing the Site you accept these Terms of Use. If you do not accept them, please do not use the Site.
2. Permission to use the Site
We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, and non-transferable right to access and view the Site for your own information, and — if you have an account — to use the Service in accordance with the Terms and Conditions. No other right is granted, and all rights not expressly granted are reserved.
3. What you may do
- View and read our public pages.
- Save or print single copies of a page for your own personal, non-commercial use.
- Quote short passages with a clear source reference and, online, a link back to the page, within the limits of § 51 UrhG.
- Link to our public pages, provided the link does not suggest an endorsement or affiliation that does not exist and does not display our pages inside a frame.
4. What you may not do
This list describes conduct that is prohibited regardless of whether it also breaches another agreement with us.
- Use the Site for an unlawful purpose or in a way that infringes the rights of others.
- Mirror or republish our content, or harvest it in bulk for redistribution. Crawling, indexing, and retrieval in accordance with our robots.txt are permitted; what you may then do with the content is set out in our Copyright Statement.
- Carry out text and data mining of the parts of the Site that require an account, or of any output the Service produces, including for the development, training, fine-tuning, evaluation, or validation of artificial-intelligence systems. This use is expressly reserved under § 44b(3) UrhG and Art. 4(3) of Directive (EU) 2019/790. Our public pages carry no such reservation and may be crawled in accordance with our robots.txt.
- Circumvent or attempt to circumvent technical protection measures, rate limits, authentication, access controls, or payment.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Site or its infrastructure, run penetration tests, or attempt to interrupt or overload the Service.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Site, except to the extent mandatory law permits it.
- Upload or transmit malware, or use the Site to distribute spam or unsolicited advertising.
- Impersonate another person, misrepresent your affiliation, register accounts by automated means, or create multiple accounts to obtain additional free allowance.
- Collect or extract personal data of other users, or attempt to identify individuals from data you encounter.
- Frame, deep-link into authenticated areas, remove or obscure proprietary notices, or use our name, logo, or metadata in a way that suggests endorsement.
- Publish benchmarks, performance comparisons, or competitive analyses of the Service without our prior written consent.
- Resell, redistribute, or otherwise commercialise access to the Site.
5. Accounts
Some parts of the Site require an account. Registration, account security, plans, and payment are governed by the Terms and Conditions. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential.
6. Availability of and changes to the Site
The public parts of the Site are provided free of charge. We may change, suspend, restrict, or discontinue any part of them at any time and without notice, and we do not warrant that they will be available without interruption or free of errors. Our obligations under a paid plan are unaffected by this section and are governed by the Terms and Conditions.
7. Third-party links and services
The Site may link to websites and services operated by others. We have no influence over their content and do not adopt it as our own. Their own terms and privacy notices apply. We remove links immediately if we become aware of a legal infringement.
8. Messages, submissions, and feedback
Do not send us confidential or specially protected information through contact forms or support email; use an agreed secure channel instead. Ideas, suggestions, and feedback you send us are handled as described on our Intellectual Property Rights page.
9. Monitoring and enforcement
We have no general obligation to monitor the information we transmit or store, or to actively investigate circumstances that indicate unlawful activity (§ 7(2) DDG, Art. 8 of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065).
We may nevertheless investigate suspected breaches of these Terms of Use and take proportionate measures, including rate limiting, blocking IP addresses or accounts, removing content, and, where required, reporting to the competent authorities. We may retain and disclose information where we are legally obliged to do so or where it is necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
10. Reporting illegal content
Anyone may notify us of allegedly illegal content under Art. 16 of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (Digital Services Act) by emailing support@jetscribe.ai. Copyright complaints are described in more detail in our Copyright Statement.
This address is also our single point of contact for recipients of the service and for authorities under Art. 11 and Art. 12 of that Regulation. We accept communications in English and German.
- A sufficiently substantiated explanation of why you consider the content illegal.
- The exact electronic location of the content, such as the URL or the identifier shown in the application.
- Your name and email address, except where the notice concerns an offence referred to in Articles 3 to 7 of Directive 2011/93/EU.
- A statement confirming your good-faith belief that the information in the notice is accurate and complete.
11. Use from outside Germany
The Site is operated from Germany and is directed at users in Germany and the wider European Union. We make no representation that it is appropriate or available in other jurisdictions. If you access it from elsewhere, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with the law that applies to you.
You confirm that you are not located in, resident in, or acting on behalf of a person in a territory subject to comprehensive EU or UN sanctions, and that you are not listed on an applicable sanctions list. We may refuse or discontinue service where sanctions or export-control rules require it.
12. Disclaimer and liability
The Site’s content is provided for general information and may contain errors or become out of date; see our Disclaimer. Our liability is limited as set out in section 12 of the Terms and Conditions and in section 14 of the Disclaimer. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded under German law.
13. Suspension of access
We may block or restrict your access to the Site, temporarily or permanently, if you breach these Terms of Use, if your use threatens the security or stability of the Service, or if we are legally required to do so. Where possible we will tell you the reason.
14. Changes to these Terms of Use
We may update these Terms of Use to reflect changes to the Site or to the law. The version published on this page, with its last-updated date, applies to your use from the moment it is published. Contractual changes affecting account holders follow the notice procedure in section 19 of the Terms and Conditions.
15. Governing law
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer resident in the EU, the mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence remain unaffected. For merchants, the exclusive place of jurisdiction is Berlin, Germany.
